About marinaadia
marinaadia is a law firm practising in Singapore and regulated by the Law Society of Singapore. Our office is at 583 Orchard Road, #14-02 Forum The Shopping Mall, Singapore 238884.
The firm focuses on pension defence and estate coordination. All matters are handled by qualified advocates and solicitors admitted to the Singapore Bar.
Section 2
Scope of these terms
These terms apply to:
- Your use of this website and its contents;
- Any enquiry submitted via this website; and
- The provision of legal services by marinaadia, to the extent not superseded by a separate engagement letter or client agreement.
Where a signed engagement letter exists, its terms take precedence over these general terms to the extent of any inconsistency.
Section 3
Website use
This website is provided for general information about marinaadia and its services. You may browse and download content for personal, non-commercial use, provided you do not modify it and you retain all copyright and attribution notices.
You must not use this website in any way that is unlawful, misleading, or harmful, or that interferes with its proper operation. Automated scraping, data harvesting, or any use of the site's content for training machine-learning systems is not permitted without the firm's written consent.
Section 4
No legal advice on this website
Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice. The information provided here is of a general nature and is intended only to describe the firm and its services. It should not be relied upon as a basis for any decision or action.
Legal advice is given only within a formal engagement, after the firm has reviewed the relevant facts and documents and has agreed to act. If you have a specific legal question, please contact us to arrange a Pension Mooring Sitting or initial discussion.
Section 5
Engagement of services
An engagement begins when the firm and the client have each agreed to proceed, the relevant fee has been received or arrangements confirmed, and any required identity-verification documents have been provided.
The scope of each engagement is set out at the start of the matter. The firm will not act outside that scope without the client's knowledge and consent. If the scope needs to change — for example, because the matter becomes more complex — the firm will discuss this with the client before proceeding.
The firm may decline to accept an engagement at its discretion, including where a conflict of interest exists or where the matter falls outside its areas of practice.
Section 6
Fees and payment
Fees for each service are set out on the firm's website and confirmed at the start of each engagement. The firm's current fee schedule is:
- Pension Mooring Sitting — SGD 180
- Steady Course in Pension Withholding Cases — SGD 455
- Quiet Estate Coordination — SGD 320
Payment is due before or at the commencement of the relevant service unless otherwise agreed in writing. The firm accepts payment by bank transfer and such other methods as may be communicated to the client at the time of engagement.
Fees are inclusive of the work described for each service. Disbursements — such as filing fees, stamp duties, or third-party charges — are additional and will be communicated to the client before they are incurred.
The firm does not charge hourly rates for the services listed above. If additional work is required beyond the agreed scope, a separate arrangement will be discussed and agreed with the client in advance.
Section 7
Client responsibilities
Clients are asked to:
- Provide accurate and complete information relevant to the matter;
- Promptly supply documents requested by the firm;
- Inform the firm of any change in circumstances that may affect the matter;
- Respond to correspondence within a reasonable time;
- Provide valid identity-verification documents as required under Singapore's anti-money-laundering rules.
The quality of the firm's work depends in part on the information provided. The firm cannot be responsible for outcomes that arise from incomplete or inaccurate information supplied by the client.
Section 8
Confidentiality and legal professional privilege
All communications between marinaadia and its clients are treated as confidential. The firm will not disclose client information to third parties except:
- Where the client has given consent;
- Where disclosure is required by law or by a court order;
- Where disclosure is required by the firm's regulatory obligations; or
- To the extent necessary to carry out the client's instructions (for example, corresponding with a counterparty).
Communications made in the context of seeking or receiving legal advice are protected by legal professional privilege under Singapore law. The firm takes this obligation seriously and will not waive privilege without the client's informed consent.
Section 9
Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, layout, illustrations, and other materials — is the property of marinaadia or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Documents, summaries, and written work prepared for a client in the course of an engagement are prepared for that client's use in connection with the matter. They may not be reproduced, published, or used for any other purpose without the firm's written consent.
Section 10
Limitation of liability
The firm maintains professional indemnity insurance in accordance with the requirements of the Law Society of Singapore.
Nothing in these terms limits the firm's liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law.
To the extent permitted by law, the firm's liability in connection with any engagement is limited to the fee paid for that engagement. The firm is not liable for indirect, consequential, or speculative losses.
The information on this website is provided without warranty of any kind. The firm does not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular outcome will result from use of its services.
Section 11
Third-party links
This website may contain links to external websites — for example, to regulatory bodies or government portals. These links are provided for convenience. marinaadia does not endorse or control the content of linked sites and is not responsible for their accuracy, availability, or practices.
Section 12
Termination of engagement
A client may withdraw from an engagement at any time by notifying the firm in writing. Fees already paid for work completed or substantially commenced are not refundable unless otherwise agreed.
The firm may cease to act where required by its professional rules — for example, where a conflict of interest arises, where the client has provided materially false information, or where the client's instructions would require the firm to act improperly. In such cases, the firm will give reasonable notice where permissible and will return the client's documents promptly.
Section 13
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms or an engagement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts, unless otherwise agreed.
Section 14
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with a revised Last Updated date. The terms in force at the time of each engagement apply to that engagement. Material changes affecting ongoing engagements will be communicated to affected clients directly.
